Our complete approach to stonemasonry ensures clarity from the very first conversation through to final installation. By taking responsibility for every stage, we preserve design intent, reduce project complexity, and deliver with precision. Even after completion, we remain involved through guidance and aftercare, safeguarding both the quality and longevity of the work we produce.
Where needed we also support clients with specific needs. Whether it is design input or technical consultancy, we can provide expertise at individual stages as required through our Design and Consultancy service.
Design
We work closely with architects and contractors from the earliest stages, advising on feasibility, buildability, and design intent. Careful planning ensures that stone solutions align perfectly with both creative vision and technical requirements.
Material
Every project begins with choosing the right stone. We guide clients through options in colour, texture, and performance, sourcing responsibly and ensuring the chosen material enhances both design and durability.
Production
In our workshops, traditional craftsmanship is combined with advanced machinery to shape stone with precision. Every element is checked and refined so that what leaves our yard is accurate, consistent, and ready for installation.
Site Fix
Our installation teams bring the same level of care to site as in the workshop. Each piece is fixed with precision, coordinated with wider project teams, and delivered to the highest safety and quality standards.
Aftercare
Our involvement continues after completion. We provide guidance on maintenance and care, helping to protect the integrity of the stone and ensuring the work continues to perform beautifully for years to come.

Project
The Belvedere
The Belvedere is a celebration of both artistry and precision in stone. Designed by Jonathan Lees Architects in the tradition of Arts & Crafts and inspired by Edwin Lutyens, it demonstrates how classical form can be brought to life through modern craftsmanship.
The composition is defined by fluted Corinthian columns, a bold pediment, and a wealth of fine carved details. Awarded the Natural Stone Award for Craftsmanship in 2020.

Six Generations
of Expertise
Started by William Jones in 1858, we have remained proudly family-run for over 160 years, now guided by our sixth generation.
While we have grown into a leading masonry firm, our core philosophy remains unchanged: a commitment to technical precision and a culture of integrity.
Our close-knit team has grown alongside our reputation. Many of our masons have come through in-house apprenticeships, thriving on problem-solving and dedicated to delivering quality stonemasonry to the highest of standards.
Family Timeline
Six generations of expertise have taken us from our original Reading workshop in 1866 to our current state-of-the-art facilities in Ipsden. Today, our specialist team of masons continue that legacy, delivering on some of the most prestigious projects across the UK.
