Designed by Carmen Evans in collaboration with Clive Christian Furniture Co., this spectacular Henley-on-Thames residence required a bathroom and dressing room suite of uncompromising luxury. Acting as the specialist stone contractor, AFJONES managed the end-to-end production of this signature interior.
By combining our deep knowledge of material procurement with precise machining, we delivered an elegant, seamless architectural space that perfectly encapsulates the art and science of modern stonemasonry.
Procurement & Design Intent
Sourcing the
Perfect Stone
A firm foundation for this project was established long before the first cut was made. Utilising our extensive procurement network, we sourced premium Estremoz marble directly from Portugal.
By defining clear logistical parameters, colour-matching criteria and lead times early on, we ensured the raw material perfectly aligned with the designer’s ambitious vision.

Mirrored
Veining
To create a striking visual centrepiece, the bathroom floor was created using book-matched Estremoz marble slabs. By perfectly adjoining two slabs cut sequentially from the same natural block, we achieved a continuous, mirrored veining pattern that flows seamlessly from tile to tile across the floor.
The continuity of material extends into the adjacent dressing room, where the marble is utilised for bespoke countertops. These surfaces feature classic Ovolo edge detailing, a profile specifically chosen to add a refined, elegant finesse commensurate with the grandeur of the master suite.

Machining to the
Finest Tolerances
Creating a continuous, book-matched pattern requires absolute precision. In our production facilities, the marble slabs were cut and calibrated to the finest of tolerances. This exact engineering ensures a flawless installation.
