Constructing a cantilever staircase requires great skill and care often in tight / difficult spaces.
Also, the secure embedment of each tread into the walls, and the interfaces with landing steels, can be challenging, and needs extremely careful attention to detail.
It was no different at Gilston Road where we are just completing the installation of a cantilever spiral stair, four flights high. ( We are also working on the adjacent property with a very similar stair as well).
This is a shot of the work in progress (Josh Davis in foreground) at ground level. And a picture of the stair shaft with lifting tackle dangling from the roof mounted running steels.
Awesome work – pictures of final condition to follow very soon!
